Coming back strong from major injuries that plague the body for years?

Could use some motivation, success stories

I actually came back very strong from some issue that plagued my upper body. Took 5 years of trying to figure it out srs

But now it's 100% clear. I'm dealing with something about as bad and will be for at least another 8-12 months I'd imagine

fuarked my shoulder like 10 years ago, couldnt lift arm for a couple months, better part of a year before I could start over lifting. most of that decade, shoulder pain would constantly plague me, especially as my bench increased. had to stop lifting to try and let it "heal" a few times over the years, but always came back.

but in the past year, wearing one of those strap on shoulder braces constantly while I'm at work has pretty much reduced the pain to zero. can bench pain free as well now.
Lifts:
Squat: 460x1
Bench: 400x1
Deadlift: 575x1
OHP: 250x2
Weight: 180 lbs.

Don't have heroes; look up to no one. Because as long as someone's leading the way, the best you'll ever be is second.

Glad to hear that you got past it brah. The shoulder is the one area I hope to never fuk up. Shoulder and spine / discs

I believe that tissue has the ability to eventually recover and become nearly 100% good as new, but it takes a lot of breaking down and rebuilding, work

I've had ridiculous pain in my right hip for the last 7+ years. Have had many surgeries in that time, including a spinal fusion from T8-L4 in Sept of '20, aimed at alleviating the pain but nothing really worked. Because of the pain, I haven't gotten much exercise since 2017, when I was still in college and rolling around campus for miles every day. As the pain worsened, I did less and eventually reached 250lbs.

There's a point where you just know that you have to do something and improve your health, and I reached that point early in 2021. I now work out 4x a week, got my resting heart rate down from 78ish to 58, and lost a lot of fat while putting on a good amount of muscle. My vascularity is coming back in some areas, I can breathe better, and I now have more motivation because I can actually see the results of the past 5 months. Once I started seeing results my motivation shot through the roof. It'll be the same way for you. Just have to be extra careful to not do any exercises that might tweak your issues. There are so many different exercises that there has to be something you can do in those 8-12 months.

Another crazy success story. Good work bro, srs. Takes so much to come back from something highly damaging like that, something that hurts and fuks up normal routine and functioning for years. I bet at least 30-50% the bros here on misc (who're serious about lifting) have messed up something seriously from lifting heavy

What's the injury you're dealing with?

Very solid progress. Thanks bro, I'm going to do my best. I guess it's back to the drawing board once again, but maybe this time I'll put it all together and finally hit it on the head. To enter another great stretch in life
