You'd be dum not to. The bishes in HR aren't going to verify your resume as that would involve work.

As long as you can do the thing that the certificate would give you and can back it up during an interview, I'd have no problem putting it on a resume. 99% of the time they aren't going to ask for proof as long as you can actually perform the task.

Don't lie on your CV, it will come back to bite you in the ass.

Maybe it would give you a short-term advantage, but there are always consequences.

Sometimes it just takes a while for the consequences to arrive.

it's sales 101. You don't have to lie but you can sugar coat chit or tailor it to better reflect the position you're applying for.

Or just tell them you're a jewish black liberal tranny single mother who attends BLM rally's to fight racial inequality and white supremacy and you'll probably get hired with exquisite benefits.

Not a CEO 10k/day though not far off with some interview results. I found more success researching the audience for the application and preparing what they might want to hear more than something to impress with autisticlord supremacy.

I allow them to imagine the details. Most people in my field (controls engineer, PLC programmer) have an electrical engineer degree, but mine is mechanical, so on the resume under education, I just list it as an engineering degree, and let them assume it is electrical. I don't lie if I'm asked, but almost nobody has asked and I have enough experience now that they probably couldn't care less about the degree.
