well brahs i tried to create a good life for myself but after years of hard work

there is still no end in sight.

I still have nothing to look forward to.

All the years I have sacrificed to make money in the future will not be worth it.

the job isnt worth it

the pay isnt worth it

the lifestyle is horrendous

the sacrificing of your individuality is beta


I have gone years with nothing to look forward to and as I sit here about to finish many years of hard work, I not only have nothing to look forward to but many doors of opportunity have shut due to my age. Things I thought I would be able to do in the future are now much less likely.

Max out your credit cards and fck off to Thailand once Asia gets it together a little more. I'm tempted to do it. The only thing honestly holding me back is that I don't want to abandon my family, but I live across the country and I'm usually the only one going to see them anyways.

it seems like it from the outside but once you get into it you realize its just like any other job but you just wasted 8 years to get here and hella debt and so much more that you don't see until you do it.

Eh the PAs I know all seem fulfilled. And 8 years? Isnt PA school just 3? Compare that to mountain of debt and stress from law or med school and you’re in good shape


At least you are treating people instead of finding ways to sell 10% more widgets than a year ago for Mr Noseburg like most Corp jobs

I work in a unique field where people make a lot of money without much time investment in education, with almost guaranteed raises to ridiculous levels over the span of 10 years. Been doing it for 10 years, as a result have met a lot of different people. Some have been saving all their money and as a result have half a million saved at an early age, others have blown every last dime, and some have saved and spent in a nice balanced ratio.

After a couple advancements and having both saved every dime and blown every last cent, in the end I can say nothing about the rat race is worth it. So what if you have a few hundred thousand in the bank, does that make you any happier? Who cares if you’re in a top level position at work, it’s like powerlifting, at the end of the day nobody gives a fck about your numbers.

My best take on it so far is that you should have to work as little as possible but still some otherwise you’ll lose your mind, always have the “fck you, you need me I don’t need you” mentality (it’s an attitude not a dollar amount, you always have options) but be humble at the same time, and drop the rat race mindset of the need to continuously climb the ladder

GMiscer has it all figured out, you don’t need much to be happy. While he might choose to LDAR in 400 sq ft ‘minimalist’ apartment, you could get a cheap shack on the beach, drive an electric scooter, workout every day, catch fish to eat, plow tourist hole, practice a stress free life

4yr undergrad 2 yr work experience and 2-3yr masters.
