Who remembers Peak Oil about 15 years ago.
Weren't we suppose to be out of oil by now???

If estimates were wrong before due to innovations in technology, does that mean they will always be wrong? Will we always be able to develop enough technology/discover new resources to offset the increasing usage? Don't we have diminishing returns on technological innovation? Think about it.
