Hey guys,
Just a little warning to you guys.I took propecia for 4 months a few years ago and got permanent sexual side effects. One morning I woke up and thetissue of my dick literally changed.I don't know how to describe it, butwhen flaccid it is limp, thin, feels more light weight. It no longer hangs with a full feeling like it used to.My balls also constantly have that cold shower feeling where they're all up in my stomach and not hanging down. It's ****ing bizarre, I had no idea something like this would even be physically possible. It's a very uncomfortable feeling and it's constantly bothering me.Luckily I can still get and maintain erections but they aren't nearly as good as they used to be, and like I said the tissue in my dick literally changed, and now I've got a slight curve at the end. When I'm starting to get aroused my dick starts to get a ****ing hourglass shape, where the base of my shaft and my penis head get full, butthe middle is like 1/3rd the size. It's ****ing bizarre man. Luckily it eventually gets full but like I said it's not as good as it used to be. I also don't produce nearly as much ejaculate and orgasms aren't nearly as pleasurable. Sometimes sex can even hurt.
I have also seemed to lose energy, and muscle mass, and gained fat.Not sure how these are related, but nothing comes close to having your dick ****ed up for life.
A dermatologist prescribed me generic finasteride in February 2013 andI took it for 4 monthsuntil one morning I woke up with these symptoms. I did some googling and realized exactly what was going on and stopped taking it immediately.Unfortunately nothing has changed since then, it's permanent.I have never taken any doctor prescribed medication in my life before during or after finasteride and it's safe to say the FDA approvals don't mean ****ing ****. It's a disgusting money grab for greedy sociopaths.

I had persistent testicle ache and decreased girth 9+ months after being on Finasteride for 3 weeks last year.
Side effects are 100% real. I had all the sexual ones and they were horrible. HOWEVER - I believe this drug is not as safe as Merck initially report BUT I don't think it is as bad as the internet would have you believe.

Similar thing happening to me--girth loss. I've asked a Urologist and my GP and they never heard of that happening and there is no science behind that happening with finasteride, especially that low a dose (penis is an organ that doesn't change like that). I dont' know what to believe.

I stopped finasteride after a few years, feel like I did notice some changes - but the reality is it's impossible to know how much of that was natural aging vs. medication.
That said, I'm sure the vast majority of dudes on Reddit are engaging in coping. They probably have bum ass jobs, don't exercise, and blamed their hair loss for why they didn't get laid. And then finasteride didn't magically cure everything, and became the new target for why they had ED and weren't getting laid.
