Cold Showers

Since switching to cold showers I have always come out of it feeling better, cleaner and much more focused.

I should remember to try and measure how cold the water is next time however, I would have to wager I get it to about 65.

Cold showers are the best.

Wondering how "cold" it has to be to get benefits, every time I try to take cold showers I end up just going back to hot because it feels so good.

Also I take showers right after I exercise, so would it be dangerous to go from sweating and hot to a cold shower?
Would kick em in the nuts

I actually don't know how "cold" it needs to be however, I would assume normal showers don't fall below 60-65, at least, not that I know of.

Also, I might wait a bit until you body adjusts to room temperature before jumping right in just so you don't shock your system.

Since you need heat to open up the pores and properly get rid of odors/oils/bacteria, i'm not sure what the point of a cold shower it. It's far less effective at cleaning your body.

If you’re into cold showers do the Wim Hof breathing method first to get the full benefits.

I do a regular hot shower then when I'm done washing I turn the water as cold as possible and stay in for 2 minutes and just breathe through it. It definitely helps overall stress levels and cortisol and all that.

If you get out of a hot shower then you feel cold for a while anyway, might as well feel cold in the shower then feel good after you get out of the water.
