How To Avoid The Glow Reaper?

What are the most effective steps one should take in order to hold off the glow reaper for as long as possible? I’m 24 years old, I still have the glow but I’m starting to see the beginning effects of it lessening slightly. Genetically I have pretty good skin, I use Retinol 2.5% moisturizer which I order off of Amazon. The first signs of noticeable adult aging I was able to see is that my nasolabial folds had deepened slightly, although the Retinol moisturizer helps with that a lot. Beyond that I use a face wash 5 days out of the week, and a face scrub/exfoliator twice a week, and a regular moisturizer if needed.

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated, I think that if certain steps are taken in our early to mid 20s perhaps a lot of aging could possible be avoided before it’s too late.

you gotta use a facial cleanser before the retinol.

Sounds like a good skincare routine there, maybe throw in BHA exfoliator twice a week at night instead of retinol(shave if you need to during those days, use as aftershave). And wear sunscreen or it nullifies everything

Most of it is free.

Outside of genetics and usually never retroactive so you can't just "catch up".

1. Hydration. Drinking lots of water. Sounds simple? I bet you don't drink enough. If you're only peeing 1-2x a day, then you're dehydrated.

2. Sleep. One of the most crucial factors for looks and health. Getting as much sleep as possible.

3. Diet. Eating healthy is not expensive, it's actually considerably cheaper than eating dirty.

4. Moderation or abstaining from drugs, smoking, alcohol. Nothing else needs to be said.

5. Sun exposure. Just enough is fine, but excessive Sun exposure is a huge accelerate for your skin's age. You can get permanent Sun spots, moles and just general glow loss.

6. Stress. Sometimes unavoidable but not stressing over trivial events/matters is crucial.

None of these require surgery or thousands wasted on scam products. If you want to buy a skin moisturizer, then go ahead. Sun screen for the day, that's about it.

There's no problem with looking for tips to help you remain young.. however as a man, you shouldn't be applying the term glow to yourself.

“I live in the American Gardens Building on W. 81st Street on the 11th floor. My name is Patrick Bateman. I’m 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I’ll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.”

I think I’m good or decent on all those levels, aside from maybe stress. I don’t smoke or drink or have any bad habits really. I don’t usually wear sunscreen, because I don’t generally spend a lot of time in the sun. I heard that most of sun damage is done when you are a kid/teen.

^he's right you know dot jay peg. If you are looking at your face so heavily under a microscope you need to readjust your priorities. This kind of behavior is the precursor to OP going full Bruce Jenner.

By the way don't use harsh scrubs. I only wash my face with actual cleanser like 2x a week, max. I use witch hazel toner (good for acne) and tretinoin at night. If you chase it too much it will have the opposite effect and make you look haggard.

I’m not looking at my skin under a microscope, I just try to take care of my hair and skin. I think a big mistake people make is they don’t start paying attention to this stuff until it’s too late. Perhaps a significant amount of aging could be avoiding for a time.
