Just bought house - furnish now, or wait?? (RE lumber costs)

Just bought house - furnish now, or wait?? (RE lumber costs)
So far I've bought the more essential things - a bed and couches.
But for things that are have a lot of wood imputs - specifically a dining room table set, second desk for my bedroom, nightstands, does it make sense to wait to purchase these items since lumber prices are at all time highs?
Nice dining room sets (table + 4 chairs) are anywhere from $1000 on the crappy end to 3k+ for nicer ones. Desk I want is around $1400. Cheaper nightstands are $150ish each, all the way up to $400. I'm looking specifically at mid century modern style stuff to match the style of my house.
Buy now, or will prices come down as the year progresses?

Why not hit up yard sales, flea markets, and thrift shops and try to find nice 2nd hand stuff cheap?

I also second buying......second hand. Tag sales, CL and even scratch and dent deals at furniture stores. Even minor blemishes in not so noticeable areas can plummet the value of furniture.

I really doubt lumber prices has much to do with furniture prices. They've always been expensive for actual wood furniture.
Buy second hand in good shape. Or buy older second hand and restore/repaint.
Some of the older stuff is far more solid anyways.
