I never had a 96-4 burger so juicy in my life before. Made it taste better than freakin in n outs with 33% of the calories, its ridiculous. This **** is amazing for cutting brahs.

Tried these recipes:

Its absolutely ridiculous how good it comes out, yet incredibly easy and fast to make. Feel just like when i was a kid and i discovered videogame emulators, this **** is life changing

It’s technically a counter top convection oven.

I love mine. I use it every single day.

I'm pretty sure the misc HAS had a few threads about air fryers in the past. I have an electric convection range and often wondered why I couldn't just use THAT as an air fryer. The wife has been wanting an air fryer for awhile now and I keep wondering how to justify the cost of one instead of just using the convection setting on the range.

If you're cutting why fry at all? You'd lower calorie counts even more by just sticking to your soy

It's annoying to clean, otherwise great machine. Maybe because I clean it after every use.

Buy one and see for yourself, it will the best investment for your kitchen. For reheating leftovers alone should make the price worth it, and it isnt even expensive. Plenty of great ones for 130-150

Generally speaking I disliked the air fryer and have an oven which does the job significantly better for larger portions.

But I can absolutely see how it might be worthwhile for others

Deep fat fryer is way better but hate getting a kitchen covered in grease. Air fryer is pretty legit though, use it at least 3 times a week

Can even further cut calories and carbs by using lettuce to hold the burger.

Not the same, "fryer" in this case is a bit of a misnomer.

Fried food is unhealthy because it's soaking up fat/oil it's being fried in, many of which are really bad for you (especially vegetable oil).

An "air fryer" is really a "super-efficient convection oven", it's just easier to say and market "air fryer".

Fry comes from the 'idea' of a crisp crunchy browned outside.

The air fryer heats the outside in such a way (convection) that it has a crisp outside and juicey inside hence "air-fryer."

Baking in a conventional oven isn't the same as a convection oven there is no circulation and depending on how you bake or broil (bottom or top) you end up with a different product as far as "crisp" and "juice" this is why "basting" is commonly pushed in the idea of a pan fry or a baking method as a method of redistributing the fluids in such a way to keep it from being effectively dry on top and wet on bottom or 'uneven' that is where air-fryers tend to be superior.

Air-fryers tend to 'drip' fat from meats as well away from the actual food you are eating (you'll see it in the bottom of the basin of an ary-fyer) so you have a lot of clean up with an air-fryer but you aren't eating that particular product hence less calories and often less literal fat in the food you're heating. Baked goods "wash the fat" around your food at the bottom and effectively soak in it.

Make sure you put some water in that basin when cooking high fat foods like bacon, sausage etc.

Again it's more similar to a convection oven, which is generally superior to an oven.

Convection ovens heat up way faster faster and cook faster and more evenly.

Right now if I wanted to preheat my oven to 400 it'd take maybe 20 minutes, with a convection oven it would take like 5 minutes or so.

The air fryer is nice because it uses much less energy and doesn't heat the house up as much.

The disadvantage is the air fryer is tiny, good luck cooking a full meal for more than 2-3 people inside of it.

An air fryer is nice to have but by no means is it a "must have".

Yeah it’s a must have for single dudes or couples. Cooking for a family of 4 may be a bit of a pain in the ass
