Why don’t we ever learn about white slaves?

It is estimated that between 1580 to 1680 alone over 850,000 slaves were taken from Europe by the Barbary pirates. The numbers over the whole period of the Barbary pirates’ activity certainly range well into the millions of victims. Between 1606 and 1616 Britain alone lost 466 merchant ships to the Barbary pirates, it must be remembered that the main reason for attacking these ships was not like other pirates for booty but specifically to take white slaves for the North African, Ottoman and Middle Eastern slave markets.
The Barbary pirates were but one part of an extensive trade in white slaves. It is estimated that between 1450 and 1700 over 2.5 million white slaves were taken from the Black Sea region to Istanbul’s Ottoman slave markets.
under the Dervsimre-Janissary system it is estimated that between the 14th to 18th centuries anywhere from 500.000 and one million white European boys between the ages of 8 and 18 were forcibly removed from their families, converted to Islam and forced to serve as soldiers and administrators of the Ottoman empire.

The Romans massacred and pretty much enslaved all of Gaul.

The Spartans (Dorians) enslaved their fellow Greeks, the Mycenaeans, who were the original inhabitants of Laconia and Sparta before the Dorian invasion. The Spartans during Leonidas' time are not the same Spartans during the Trojan War days, those Spartans were Mycenaeans, Leonidas' Spartans were Dorians.

Because it's basically ancient history, which isn't taught at the middle school or highschool level. Stuff that old is typically stuff you research on your own or get a degree in history to learn about. I think it's mostly because it really don't affect anyone today where as things that happened in the past 300 years are still affecting people in a real way today.

The same reason we pretend that black people are held back from ever making it due to a history of slavery and lack of generational wealth despite my Italian mom coming to America from a village of 1500 people who wore rags, getting her associate's degree, and having a suburban home and fancy car, and her sons are also successful. The majority of our family on my mom's side are rather successful, up to being in the 1% with no real benefits besides growing up in a supportive Italian community opposed to a ghetto where people shot each other and blasted rap music.

But apparently all the hidden systemic racism is preventing these people from also attending free public education, getting student loans, going to college, picking a worthwhile degree, and working towards something. Apparently the difference between white and dark skin is so powerful that these things are not analogous, even though Italian Americans were historically discriminated against as well.

This. Also, Scandinavian and North European slave traders enjoyed a brisk business serving the needs of the Sassanid Persian Empire and the Umayyad/Abbasid Caliphate. Millions of LTC/HTC, good looking and ugly AF, Celtic and Slavic females and young males were captured and sold to Khazarian Jewish middlemen, and other Eurasian steppe tribes, who then sold the females and young males to the Empires to the South (Middle East).

if you tried to do that now it would be "taking away" from black people being enslaved and trying to 'white wash" history and make it seem like white people are equal to black people which would just be a terrible terrible thing.

we must ignore the cultural deficits that are rampant among many black american cultures, and refuse that they play any part in why there is so much violence, crime, and mistreatment of black people in America, the only viable place to draw attention to is white people being racist. How dare we even consider that the problems come from within the black communities, EVERY problem that happens to people is due to external forces.

Remember if your life isnt going the way you want it to, its because of other people, just like the troubles black people in america face, its because of other people.

The ruling class that controls academia pushes victim status for everyone but whites. the narrative is whites oppress everyone, whites being a rapidly shrinking demographic in america surely this will end well

The thing that boggles my mind on the barbary slave trade was there were over a million white slaves, brought to africa - they were castrated upon arrival and slaughtered before being freed.
Meanwhile the 388k african slaves brought to america were freed and there are 50 million african american descendants from those 388 thousand. who's really the victim? not to mention the slaves that were brought over were sold by african tribesmen

The entire Japanese population in the United States got all their chit and livelihoods taken away from them just a generation ago. What did they do about it? The young boys enlisted in WW2 and became one of the most decorated units in US military history. Now the Japanese population is in general doing great, because instead of complaining and bitching and blaming, they worked hard and rose above the challenges they faced.

The Japanese were doing fine without American intervention. They had their own standing powerful military. The reason why they are doing well today is because the US nuked them twice, which is a war crime, and now they(the us) acts like its not a war crime by letting them sell their cars in the US.

You don't learn about White slaves because the Power does not want you to know about it.

You might think they don't want you to know because of some nefarious reason but that is not the case.

They don't want you knowing about White slaves because it protects the White race from future slavery. If you believe Blacks have been the most easily enslaved race and you also believe Whites will not allow themselves to be enslaved("Give me Freedom or give me death") then it is not likely that Whites will be the target of slavery. Why would you try to enslave a race that will accept death before they accept slavery?



How can you enslave a race that cannot be enslaved?

Probably because that is unrelated to American history. You would learn about it at a university if you studied world history though.

Slavery is still legal in the USA as per the 13th amendment and Ruffin v. Commonwealth.

Prisoners in the US are legally slaves, they are slaves of the state.

This system was created to protect structures of free labor after the Civil War.

My uncle did life in prison for murder. He died recently, he was a slave.

Large corporations like Amazon, Walmart, and Microsoft make millions of dollars to this day by using American slave labor.

People cherry pick history to justify their bigotry. Right now, people only talk about "white colonists." Meanwhile Genghis Khan raped so many people, 1 out of 200 people are direct descendants...do we call Asians colonists? No. Nor should we.

History is bloody across the board. Every nation, city, town had some bloodshed or horrific history. Very counter-intuitive to only say some of it "counts" and the rest is fine.

I see your point but white people also have a wide range of different genes in them so most of us aren’t that interested in our own bloodlines from far past. I know some of mine and I also know I came from poorer people. We aren’t in the country to justify reparations for anyone imo. We are all mutts. Even the black folk, most of their slave ancestors are long gone and doubt they’d want them to waste their freedom on something so futile. Blacks being slaved in America is an atrocious thought. It’s been over with for a long time now.


There’s still stigma in pockets of course, and each case is different, but the USA is the least racist and most tolerant country there is in existence. If you’re complaining about freedoms here you are an ignorant moron. People that believe otherwise and hate it and want to dismantle it and turn it into some other country need to just move to where their politics align, it’s simple. Go be with who you want and agree with instead of trying to force your lifestyle into an already operating society. It’s not even a black thing, there a million crayon headed whites that have no idea what they’re rooting for, yet they do it relentlessly becaus they’ve been indoctrinated.
