mirin his hustle hard. dude created his channel when he was 14 and now has 2.5M subscribers. Makes nice chunk of change while making one video a week. Probably has a real career too.

im sure he gets more from product placements in his videos. but if he doesnt, that ad revenue sure seems low

those estimator sites show a wide range because youtube doesnt have a flat rate for compensation. there is no $ per views. It depends on what "category" of videos you do, some pay more than others. idk which categories pay the most.
