Solo traveling is pretty nice

I use to travel for work and I didn't like doing anything unless my team was interested, but when I really wanted to explore certain cities I realized it's actually pretty nice being able to travel on your own.

-Do whatever you want at your own schedule from eating, going to events, sightseeing, etc.
-Don't have to wait or argue/compromise with people in your group

Vacations should be about relaxing and doing what you want, not a chore. I figured this out in my last family vacation when it felt like a chore. It might be more nice if you are introverted though, if you gotta socialize with people then it may depend on the city.

Only downside would be if you want to take pictures of yourself (not selfies) in the area or the sights. You may have to ask strangers to do it for you. Much easier to do in tourist cities like NYC, but harder in weirder ones especially in pandemic and you never know how people would react to it.
