... lately, I am too lazy and pick option B. At this point you can do whatever the fuk you want. Get cheap instant coffee. Use a keurig. Who gives a ****.

If you want, you can get a French press and try that out. They’re cheap. Apparently, most traditional coffee makers don’t get hot enough to get rid of the tannins that affect the brew’s flavor. With a French press, you boil your own water. Don’t have to worry about filters though, but slightly more clean up. I used to have one but have just gotten lazy. If I had expensive ground coffee I might would use it…

Was thinking of investing in a Bunn, but was hoping for something cheaper than that option. My buddy uses a commercial Bunn in his house, 2 pot system. Comes out fuarking prime.

Not the greatest coffee, but so fkn quick and easy. Just dark roast starbucks in the keurig. When I feel like it I'll do the same coffee and grind the beans and do a French roast, but it has been a long time since I bothered.

Best way to brew a single cup is a Moka pot or a V60, period. French presses aren't as convenient IMO.

just buy local beans and get a decent burr grinder

I am going to agree with all the others on French press. However, there are several caveats to using one….
First, you need to devote the extra time set aside for cleanup. This sounds petty, but you will slowly become more and more lazy and not looking forward to the cleanup that involves more than just throwing away a spent filter.
Second, (for me personally), the silt particles that get suspended in the coffee sometimes causes violent chitting spells that almost mimic flu diarrhea for me. This could be due to not properly making it or something, or maybe my system just hates the silt.
Either way, the flavor of French press is still unparalleled. The only other method that some people claim is best is with a coffee syphon, which I have never tried

Pick up a refurbished baratza encore or I found a good sette 30 on fb marketplace. And then I got the Amazon stainless steel French press one cause I kept on braking the glass. Get whole bean coffee and grind before you brew.
Just picked up a gaggia classic pro with all random gift card money ive accumulated for the last few years and bought it. It’s cool but only use it to make espresso on my days off

If you had a $10 V60 and an electric kettle you could pour yourself a cup of high quality coffee in 5 minutes tops.

I sometimes want a pour over or a moka pot or french press or espresso or latte or cappuccino, so my set up allows me to enjoy all of them.
If you just want a good cup of coffee everyday I would buy a chemex or hario pour over or a bialetti moka pot and a solid grinder like a baratza. If you don't really care about investing in a solid grinder you can always buy a cheap Bodum grinder, but I've found that the more money the grinder is the better/consistent grind I get which improves my cup of coffee.
If you want to get into espresso/latte/etc I would look into breville barista express or pro or a de'longhi la specialista. As you gain experience brewing espresso and using a milk frother you could look into buying a manual espresso machine like a rancilio silvia or a bezerra.
For beans I would find a local roaster and buy freshly roasted beans directly from them. If you really go down the rabbits hole you can buy green beans from places like coffee bean corral and roast them yourself.

I’m very happy with my Nespresso. Only nitpick is that the coffee isn’t super hot like I prefer it but I can live with it.
