Stop buying stuff to cope with the situation you're in.
Start to learn a skill that is in demand. (Bonus if it can be done remotely/freelance.)
Cut your expenses as much as possible.
Sell junk you don't use/need.
Cut expenses even more.

What do you want, to work the night shift? Be on call 24-7 for operations and facility maintenance, work odd hours so you can't enjoy regular activities that require having a normal schedule?

Figure out how much money you need to live the lifestyle you want and then earn exactly that much money. If I didn't have a wife and kids I could get by on $30k/year easy, could make that working 2 days a week as a consultant or something similar.
I assume you're a grown man since you're posting on the misc so the only thing keeping you in the rat race is yourself.

I already exited the rat race, just trying to figure out how to stay out successfully

I would love to just go buy some land out in the country and have my own ranch. Unfortunately, that won’t provide much for retirement when I’m 60+, or allow for the adventures I would like to go on before and after then.
So it’s grinding away until I have enough where my investments provide more in passive income than where I’m at now in salary.

invest your money until you have enough passive income to sustain your lifestyle. Cut down your desires until you have a lifestyle that is more affordable, possibly in a low cost of living nation if needed (srs)

I'm talking grinding with a priority on acquiring assets and investments.invest your money until you have enough passive income to sustain your lifestyle. Judging from the last 10 years of my life/investing it really only requires about 10 years of hustle/investing to retire or at least partially retire.
