Tradie experience outside my house yesterday

730AM - knock on the door, I walk down my steps and already see the high vis vest on my porch
- Tradie says they have to dig a hole at the end of my driveway, they don't know if they'll be there for a couple hours or all day. (standard trade timeline depending on gas station stops and cig breaks)
- 10AM - still no digging yet, trucks/backhoe just sitting in front of my house
- 1030AM - digging finally starts
- 130PM - digging ends
- tradies patch the hole, resulting in the patch being about 3" higher than the road.
- they proceed to run over the still loose patch on their way out leaving massive tire marks and deforming the patch.
- mutant road patch now outside my driveway.

Just lol, the misc is on point with tradie jokes.

Surprised their backhoe didn’t back into a fire hydrant or knock over a utility pole

As someone who works with tradies all day long its sad, but true. legit 9/10 tradies fit the stereotype. When you find a high vocabulary, clean cut and professional tradie they truly are worth their weight in gold though, 10x more than any email sender.
