Woke up with a smile in spite of knowing I have to fill out paperwork all morning.

After screwing around for 45 minutes not really doing much, I get started.

Ten minutes into working I overhear the woke office hambeast talking to the lady in the cubicle next to me. Now most people avoid her because she has the personality of a case of gonorrhea. However, I am in a good mood this morning...

She is telling the lady how her sister isn't getting her unemployment because the system is overwhelmed. Ignoring the sage old advice of minding your own damn business, I pipe up and say, "I've heard other government agencies are having the same problem."

She stops talking mid-sentence and slowly rotates her head towards me. She looks at me like I took the last slice of cake and asks, "What do you mean?" I stammered back, "You know...like the IRS."

She blankly stares at me for a few seconds and replies, "That is because taxes are rooted in White supremacy."

For whatever reason this struck me as incredibly funny...yet I knew you aren't ever supposed to laugh at the office hambeast. I just couldn't help myself. I tried to hold it in, but that made it worse.

I had to excuse myself and go to the restroom where I hid for 20 minutes periodically laughing.

When I came back out she was still there and she tracked me with her head giving me the stinkeye.

Now I'm screwing off again, getting no work done, and posting on the misc. I should go to trade school. ugh.

I work in O&G construction around lots of tradies, the main topic in the office this morning has been Ironworker's ability to quickly source any drug you can imagine and ******* use clearing out nasal passages

Woke politics is at my work and it sucks, it is a literal minefield as a Conservative.

Luckily I do spend about 25% of my time in the field. I'm and environmental "scientist" at a large company.

I worked for small firms all my career that were made up of mainly guys. We made money, got straight to the point and were able to have healthy convos about whatever we wanted. No HR to fear for.

The one or two jobs I had in larger corporate settings that poisoned my day with female coworkers were the worst days of my life. I literally didn't talk to a single soul and had to keep my headphones in to avoid rage quitting. It was non stop talks about Disney, their kids, the bachelor, food, trying to sound smart only to show their true autism, complaining about their husbands. I could not handle it.

I'm working from home, which basically means I spend 90% of my day MISCing.....

I dread having to go back to the office in september and having to deal with all the autistic, socially inept wagecucks....

Could never be an officecel. Crane/truck driver brah checking in, spend half my day driving around listening to moosic and podcasts on my own.

This, I work for a small IT services company and there are only like 3 women who work here on the other side of the building, and they're all married Trumpers so no literally none of the woke corporate America BS here
