Just got my test results back...

Total Testosterone Your Value 716 ng/dL Standard Range 241 to 827 ng/dL241 - 827 ng/dL

Did I make it? Am I high test or nah? Also, 40 years old.

Nice, thick, tight for a 40 old. Mine total was in the mid-high 500s but total was at the bottom of the range. Without your free t you don’t have the full picture, but with total that high I’m sure you’re fine as long as you feel good.

I feel great at the moment. I actually thought the values would be low. I wonder if I hit the gym super, super hard if I'd still make great gains? I still go all the time but kinda cruise through a workout. Is it worth it to go hard at this time because of my T? I don't know that much about it all.

Everything else was fine. I had like four panels done. TSH, Test, Lipids, and B12. Of all things, my B12 was high.

I think crushing it in the gym is one of the things that drove my free T down. Heavy sessions can drive up SHBG which will bind up all your T and cause it to be of no real use to your tissues. I went from killing it 5 times week, to 4, to 3, to just kind of coasting through workouts 3 times/week. Everyone is different though, and I’m probably just genetically predisposed to high SHBG because I was doing lots of other things that should have lowered it(without even trying to because I never really considered that aspect before my most recent test). The body is insanely complex and can vary wildly from one person to the next though. I would recommend getting your free t tested though. Not a big deal as long as you feel good, but if you’re wanting to start tracking levels across time that’s one you definitely want to include.
