Are there really people who are just as productive working from home?

I guess I have a chit tier work ethic since I do now is the bare minimum. Do maybe 20 hours of actual work a week and spend the rest of my time screwing around.

Did it for almost all of 2020 and still got a 10% ($20k) raise so figured why change in 2021. Going back to the office part-time in September is going to be rough LOL

I think most people who claim that (and there seems to be a lot...) are lying. Obviously, it's so much easier to phuck off at home - even though there are plenty of ways to phuck off in the office too.

I always got work done quicker at the house since I knew when I finished I could do whatever the fuk I want. If I know I'm gonna have to be in the office till 5 I procrastinate as there is no reason to hurry

Yeah I'm more productive at home but it's not because I work more hours and I can definitely fuk around and waste time a bit more, the reason is because people don't walk into my office and ask me questions all the time.

I'm the most senior person managing my employers entire IT infrastructure from network to servers (physical/virtual) to firewall so I get chit tons of drive bys if I'm in the office. When I'm at home I can block off 2 hours a day of 'Busy' time on my schedule, put Teams on do not disturb mode where only my manager can pester me and then I can actually get 2 hours of uninterrupted work done. I'm actually full time remote now which is amazing, although I'm visiting my office this week (7/6-16th actually) in order to show some junior team members how to do UCS chassis refreshes. It's cool catching up with people in the office but again the amount of in person questions is alarming.

Yes. I get a lot more sleep at home. My commute to work was like an hour or more door to door.

I am more focused in the office but I am less tired so I have more energy to get things done at home and in a better mood.

I am much more productive from home. I don't have jackarse coworkers coming to complain about their lives and work every 10 minutes. I have a few acres of land with a disc golf course set up so anytime I need a break I just go out and toss some discs or ride my motorcycle. Life is so much better, will quit before I go back into an office.

Love waving to my neighbors as they start their commutes lol
