Negativity or paranoia isn't the problem. It's lack of balls to follow through on moments of determination

The easiest way to do it is to avoid as many people as possible, because most people bring negativity.

Focus on your career, your hobbies and your goals and you'll attract only positive energy.

stop reading news (outside of like tech/science it's all negative sensationalism), only indulge in positive forms of social media, realize the majority of people are some combination of energy vampire or only value your time if you have something to offer them in return

Most don't realize that by simply cutting out social media and news exposure you will remove a majority of the stress and negativity you encounter on a daily basis. People really aren't as bad IRL as they are made to be via social media and news outlets

Gratitude. Change your mindset from one of complaining to one of being grateful for everything in your life. You'll be blessed with even more to be grateful for.

Visualization. Visualize in minute detail what you want in 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, 10, 20 years, from near future to distant future, as you're lying down with your eyes closed. Imagine what it would feel like to accomplish those goals. Do this every day and you'll get pretty much everything you want.

If everyone/everything around you is negative then it's you that is negative bud.

You know the saying, 'if you run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole.' It's true.

Most of my extreme stress has been anxiety-based. Rough childhood

Although the news is definitely a negative chitstorm in itself. I deleted all of my social media besides this forum

just do something that youre afraid of. you will be much stronger after, and just keep building on that. you will eventually realize that positivity naturally comes your way.

This is very good advice, and is what my therapist had me practice as well. Gratitude is a good way to help you reframe from negative thought spirals. You will start seeing the good about yourself and disregard the bad more. Not everything is perfect or great, obviously. But the important thing is that most of us have a very real negative bias. We tend to remember the bad and ignore all the good. Not just about ourselves but others too. It's important to try to undo that bias consciously.

Some good advice posted. I would add working out/exercising. It's literally not possible to be in a bad mood after a good workout. People pick up on and respond to that good energy too.

Cut off social media. If you stay on social media share positive things. They won't get as many likes or start up big conversations, but know that people still appreciate it. Do things consistently that take you out of your comfort zone. Look for opportunities to help others improve their lives.

The energy vampire theory is weird. I swear there are more and more people now days that are negative and suck the energy out of you or the room. And there are also people that are the complete opposite and create high energy vibes. But like you said it seems like most people are the energy vampire type.

I never noticed this chit until recently. You can't avoid them either because they will just keep coming up to you. Doesn't matter if you let them know you don't like them either they still do it.

Gratitude is fine but the visualization stuff is bull. That law of attraction garbage is thrown around by pseudo intellectuals. Just thinking about something won’t get you it. You have to actually work towards it.

I know one personally. Extremely confrontational at like scheduled intervals as if they need to feed off the emotional energy of raising someone else’s blood pressure. A lot of them don’t even know it’s intentional, but the most obvious way to describe it is through energy which I mentioned to you before in context of protection stones like tourmaline or shungite to block people giving off those negative vibes

True. It's interesting how negativity draws more Attention usually than positivity. Thats why the news is what it is

When people say visualization, they generally mean visualize yourself doing something etc. its implied that you visualize it, then do it. Not just make it happen in your head and then do nothing
