didn't want something any wider because I want people to be able to get up off the sofa and love seat easily. Any wide there wouldn't be a walkway

did you consider maybe buying a normal sized table and just pushing it back a couple inches?

Ditch the rug and seal tf out of that marble, and fyi even with the sealer within a year you’ll see watermarks and scratches. Marble is to damn high maintenance for me

Also, if the marble is not sealed, I would seal it, otherwise it’s going to be ruined in no time.

I was considering getting a solid color shag rug instead for there. Only color I can think of that would work with that color of couch would be white though, which would be a real pain in the ass to keep clean.

Just looked, and ya it's sealed. I'm aware marble stains/scuffs super easily so gonna use coasters on it for sure.

May the interior design gods have mercy on your soul.

I like the side table though. Might look good at my place (definitely not at yours as it is).

Maybe you could save it with some cushions on the couch to bring in some colour from the rug

And something on the coffee table

That table is way too small and it clashes with your rug and sofa. The width is good. Lengthwise you should aim to find a table that is 70% to full length of the inner red rectangle of your rug. I recommend a table with a glass top.

get rid of the table and buy a real Turkish rug.

The 1970's sofa clashes with everything tbh.

you should probably just go full 1970's ie: lava lamp, flower power wallpaper, 1970's porn music playing in the background etc.

Then buy an old 1970's car and drive around it and change your name to "Shaft".

I'm open to swapping the rug out but I like the couches and the coffee table

open to rug and throw pillow suggestions tho

also the lighting in there rn isn't good, this is what the color of the couch looks like:

This, was gonna say decent if he made it himself but otherwise looks like something a NY/FL Italian would have in their brass fixture home.

I'm no design guru myself, just my opinion.

should the rug be completely under the couches like in this pic, or just fill in the center space between them?

I think the size you have is fine

I think you could pull it together tbh - don’t overdo cushions, comfy and splash colour

It’s not my preference colour or age for leather tbh

The second picture is hilarious. It looks like you took out your real coffee table and put a toy one for your little sister to play on while she visits.

Also, rug should go under the couch. Your is too small
