This isn't even remotely true. I see nothing about cz being under investigation and as of today he is still posting about binance on Twitter. It's not banned "pretty much everywhere", it's available pretty much everywhere except the US has binance.us due to US restrictions not allowing certain things. Why spread this sort of lie? There's other ridiculous stories about crypto that are true without making up nonsense.

What? Binance is under investigation by the IRS and Justice Department. Currently banned in UK, Japan, Canada or parts of Canada and Italian regulator has recently blocked Binance transactions.

and yes their Chief Finance Executive stepped down in June. I was just vague about the exact details cause I don't use Binance or give a fiddler's fuk about it

The now ex-owner of the Minnesota Vikings got in a lot of legal trouble for using stablecoin reserves to steal money and launder it through a bunch of international bank accounts. It's a big financial regulator case with the NY attorney general and they just keep throwing money at it in order to stall and delay it.

$850 million stolen all at once, cash reserves used for USDT by Bitfinex. I actually had to put all the pieces together for work and publish a story on it. That was back at my old job when I was writing that kind of stuff.

No idea where the case is at now but cash reserves for stablecoins are the old outdated model now. Tons of shady characters get attracted to these exchange companies surprised coinbase has not attracted something like this.

Wall Street loves them though, they are publicly listed, have a very rare NY regulatory license, tons of money invested from big banks, and of course they represent the US interest in the industry. So to them shutting down Chinese international exchanges like Binance is good for US business interests. The US does not yet have global control of this stuff, but they do have it in every other sector of finance.

Won't be long before regulators catch up. The original vision of creating a decentralized financial system is now just a marketing tagline for companies that want to make a ton of money off it. Sort of a conflict of interest when a centralized business is built around this democratic idea, but it convinces people to buy their chitcoin.
