social security is a joke. You should be able to opt out and in return you get nothing from the government when you retire. I could make that money work better for me over a lifetime than to get breadcrumbs when you're on the final lap of your life and the government just hopes you croak.

dang OP your state taxes aren't that bad.... compared to Oregon. I remember my state usually matched by social security tax... maybe a little bit more.

what's worse is when you get a bonus and like 45% of it goes right to the tax****.

Lmao to giving the state of Louisiana 4% of your income every paycheck. What is your return like at the end of the year? Do they keep it all or do you get some of it back?
