The less the cashiers have to screw around with weighing stuff the more customers they can check out, is why i'm guessing
I collect all hard and soft plastics, hard to know if it actuallly gets recycled or not

I'm waiting for these sauces to arrive at my local aldi. The chick'n dip'n is supposedly tastes like the Chick-fil-A sauce.

Wish there was a honey mustard. That is the one my daughter loves most- chick-fil-a honey mustard. She asks for extra, but you can only push that so far.

Oh, and OP I was good with the wrapped stuff when they were selling them all as "each", but a lot of stuff has changed to per pound now. Their broccoli used to be a good deal vs. other grocers. It probably is a speed thing as their cashiers have to scan a certain number of items per minute.

Aldi is amazing. I get hand soap there for like $2 and it lasts a couple months of regular usage

Their seafood and dessert section is also better than at other places.

Does not have the exotic ingredients of trader Joe's. Basically a normal grocery store but all private label and shockingly cheap.

aldi its more of a "no brand name/their brands" carrying product store combined with expiring real soon products for the low low price. Only shop the fresh food there if you plan on consuming the food in the coming days but you can save some good money. The frozen stuff is different tho that can last a long time

I walked into an Aldi to see what it was all about and it was legit poverty level to me. I was so uncomfortable I had to call my butler to pick me up immediately. Just lmao if you don't buy your groceries from Sharper Image.

Aldi ingredients tend to be better overall than other stores, though. At least in my area you would be hard pressed to find any items with artificial colors, for example.
