Weird twinge on the arch of my foot?
Lately I’ve been getting this weird little twinge on the arch of my foot that I’ve never felt before.
It doesn’t hurt, it feels like a little electric shot in the center of my foot just before the balls of my foot.
I notice it most when walking barefoot.
Anyone ever hear of anything like this before?

umm YES
I had exactly that like a few months ago.
Now I have chronic foot pain that I believe is plantar fasciatis.
I'm wearing compression socks as we speak.
SRS
Hopefully you don't have that but I would suggest not walking barefoot for a while. Get comfy sneakers.

When it happened I was in bed ready to fall asleep. Then it felt like a nerve jolt right under my foot every 10-20 seconds, then went away. Then weeks later like chronic pain.
Also I feel like a month or 2 before that I started doing hour long runs on the treadmil. Was thinking marathon training lol.
Now I only do bike cardio
But now barefoot hurts the most. Comfy sneakers are much more comfy. Feel like a boomer lol

Like was already said you may be developing plantar fascitis.
I had it for about 9 months when I was wearing shoes without enough arch support a few years ago. I added some Dr Scholls arch supports and it went away in a few days.
Just keep that in mind in case it gets any worse. It's a very common problem. Walking barefoot or wearing shoes without arch support will exacerbate it and wearing shoes or insoles with built up arch support will often help cure it.

I've been experiencing this recently. Got that right insoles and shoes and I'm good now
