I think I've found the cause of my Depression (srs)

When I was very little (4 or 5), I found out about death and the concept of our mortality. Ever since then, I've been trying to come to terms with it.

I have never been able to get over the fact that everyone around me is slowly dying. Each day is a step closer to eternal oblivion.

I try so hard to distract myself, but I just feel like I'm constantly bracing myself for the days ahead when the people I care about the most fade away. And every time I wake up in the morning, my first thought is "another day closer". And "why didn't I try to make yesterday last longer?" Even though I know I couldn't have done anything.

Even coworkers who I don't talk to much. You see the same people around you regularly for years on end, you get used to having them around. And you know that one day, they won't be around anymore.

When my dog died last year, I coped through dissociation. But with a human, I don't think I would be able to. There's a constant darkness in my mind and I don't know how to rid myself of it

We are healed from suffering only by experiencing it to the full.

But what if dying isn't perceived as a negative event?

I should give you the infection that I have and you'll quickly change your pu$$y a$$ tune. If you do not wake up in pain or physical illness every morning you have no excuse to be depressed. Be happy you are healthy and alive, why the fuk are you focusing on death when you are healthy.

Depressed people who aren't physically ill fukin disgust me srs.

If you are legit depressed, I think you are putting the cart before the horse here. If you were not depressed, you probably wouldn't be so fixated on this.

I was lucky and recovered from major depression and I've seen my thinking change because of it. Now more of my thoughts are things like how amazing things I observe in the natural world are.

As soon as you realize that you have problems that cannot be fixed you will no longer be afraid of death. It will still be scary af on animalistic level tho.

It is just a cycle of life, bruh. It is the one thing that nobody can avoid, no matter how rich or powerful or famous. Just enjoy the ride, celebrate each day and make the most of your time here.

I've had very strong metaphysical thoughts since age 7 and ever since then I've never really been the same as far as "being a normie and thinking I am somehow special in this existence...etc etc etc"

Sucks, but that is life - you're either aware or not really alive.
