I Don't Understand (covid)

Please correct me if I' wrong here:

Vaccinated people can still catch and spread covid, correct? So what is even the plan here? Lock us down again? Which will do what exactly? Are we waiting for another vaccine to stop the new multiple strains popping up? How long would that event take... Enforcing the vaccine wont change the amount of "covid cases"

It helps provide some immunity. It is better than nothing. Basically, new lockdowns are inevitable once cases skyrocket. We get to repeat last year all over again unless they can come out with a delta shot or some sort of treatment.

That or people won't lockdown and the economy will get trashed when there are widspread deaths and hospitals are overrun.

Also, you can look forward to more variants in the future.

At this point, the way it's being handled(not saying it doesn't exist, not saying older people shouldn't get vaccinated)is blatant social engineering. It's trauma conditioning.
Everything they've said about this virus from Dec 2019 until now has flip flopped to such a degree, how can anyone rightly know what's going on?

What's most disgusting, to me, is that the vaccine has now become this battleground. People who didn't get it getting lumped in with people who deny all medicine. People dehumanizing anyone who wants to wait the standard 5 - 10 years to see the long term effects.

Everyone knows round 2 of lockdowns and masks is pointless but the vax crowd will get mad and blame it on the anti vax crowd thus taking the attention away from the elite. They need us mad at each other so we don’t get mad at them. Same thing happens with race.

You're still less likely to get infected if you're vaccinated.

If you do get infected, you are less likely to experience severe disease and far less likely to need hospitalization, far less likely to die.

There is no plan. All these mandates and orders are just to make you think they have a handle on the situation so you don't start disregarding them entirely.

We have a casedemic right now. Not a big deal. Unvaccinated old people and middle aged cows are dying, just like day 1.

No lockdowns coming. A few cities of cucks may shut down some businesses, but that will be the extent of it. Most adults have already been infected. Daily infections are in fact much, much higher, resulting in little. But people are more likely to be asymptomatic and aren't running to get a PCR test over some sniffles anymore. Testing is the least it's been. Everyone is going to get it. It's here to stay. Getting infected twice is very rare.

Even though he's a Democrat, my governor is letting the mask mandate for kids in schools expire.

OP has a great point.

If you haven't gotten the vaccine yet, it's too late if you don't want some protection against Delta. It's already spreading freely. Almost everyone will being exposed within 6 weeks, which is how long it takes to be fully vaxxed.

Hopefully your "immune system is your mask", or whatever you guys are saying these days. Deaths/hospitalizations should be nowhere near wave 2 though.

So it's not 100% effective. Nothing in life is. Seatbelts aren't 100% effective.

But for those who it is effective in (estimates are 70-95% of vaccinated people), they will not catch it and spread it.

The more people who are vaccinated, the less that can catch it and the less it can mutate to new strains.

Don't listen to science-illiterate miscers who slept through science class who said vaccinated people will still catch it; they can (because, again, nothing in life is 100% effective), but it greatly reduces the odds (by 70-95%)
