The word "photographer" makes me rage

So "photo" is pronounced "foh-toh". "Graph" is pronounced "grahff".

Photographer is for some reason NOT pronounced "foh-toh graffer", but "fahtah gruffer". The way people pronounce it you'd think "photographer" is spelled completely wrong.

I don't know, for some reason literally everyone says "fah-tah gruffer" and if you say it the way it is spelled it would sound very strange.

I just thought of something; I play this old but amazing game called Hidden & Dangerous about the British SAS, and for the pre-mission briefings they have this guy with a great sounding English accent narrate them. One of the missions has you destroy something called a "Photogrammeter" device, I think from a crashed bomber. So the narrator pronounces it as "foh-toh grahmetter", exactly how it is spelled. If we used the "photographer" logic, he would have pronounced it "fah-tah gruh-metter". So I am actually extremely high IQ.
