Going through Drug Withdrawal feels like breaking up with a Girl.

A few years ago, I had to go through a withdrawal of hard drugs that I was physically dependent upon. It was without doubt the hardest struggle I’ve had in a condensed amount of time.

BUT, something I noticed was: the feeling, overall, was extremely similar, in a psychological sense, to breaking up with a girl after an intense relationship.

Both make you crave intensely, you constantly think about it/her, you come up with excuses to go back to it/her, both will give you relief if you just had it/her one more time, you feel pain because you are without.

It’s uncanny how the human brain is triggered the same way by these different things, that are similar in effect.

Anybody have either of these intense feeling before?

Some might say quitting a woman is harder because SHE CHASES AFTER YOU TOO hahahahaha. A drug doesn’t really do that, only you do the seeking.

Agree, although drug withdrawal is a million times worse. I would have burning skin, severe anxiety, flu-like symptoms, inability to think straight. I was legit in misery 24/7 for 6 weeks before I went to the ER.

True heartache is absolute hell.

Thankfully when that finally goes away, you come out with a clean slate knowing fully well you will never go down that fukkin path ever again.

Same principle will apply here OP

I used to smoke LBs of the ganja and while it didn't harm my body, giving it up felt like waking up from a dream.

When it comes to cannabis, the withdrawal is not too bad, like nausea or weird dreams at most.

But the difference in clarity of mind is huge.
