Would you voluntarily be infected with COVID if we could go back to normal?

Just curious.

I stopped paying attention to it for quite a long time.

If you listen to the news it seems that everyone should 100% expect to get the virus, probably even those who have been vaccinated.

Just today saw that some local events in Dallas have been cancelled due to increasing cases and Austin is supposed to be at Level 4 with a recommendation that everyone wear a mask and avoid non-essential contact, even if they are fully vaccinated.

https://dallas.culturemap.com/news/e...kindness-duck/
"We have learned that some fully vaccinated people involved in different capacities of Spark Fest have tested positive for COVID-19 even while practicing safety guidance from the CDC, the Actor’s Equity Association, and our Covid Compliance Officer," organizers said in an email. "We have also had multiple cancellations for the upcoming weekend from fully vaccinated patrons who had been planning to attend but have unexpectedly tested positive.
https://austintexas.gov/news/austin-...sed-guidelines
Stage 4 recommendations include the following:

Fully vaccinated individuals should wear a mask when participating in indoor private gatherings, traveling, and dining or shopping, and should wear a mask for outdoor gatherings, if they are unable to socially distance.

Partially or unvaccinated individuals should avoid private gatherings, travel, dining and shopping unless essential. Wear a mask when conducting essential activities.
I'm so over it.

no cause they are going to keep up with the new strain narrative there is no way they are going to undo restrictions ever again.

and they want to push the "vaccine" on everybody which is highly suspicious.

"you have to get the shot"

"but I already had the virus"

"you still have to get the shot"

"I got the shot"

"no, you have to get the NEW shot"

sigh...

I've read actual studies that said the severity of illness was related to the amount of the virus you were exposed to.

Seems like for otherwise healthy people they could administer a tiny dose of virus in a controlled/quarantined setting. When you are all better/test negative then you should be good.

Me too, but I lost smell and taste even though my nose was totally clear, and I was exposed to a covid patient who was breathing/coughing on me and I didn't get sick because by that time I was almost 100% better, so 99.9% it was covid.

100% would. I’ve spent the last year and a half immune system maxxing so would roll would through it no problems.

Let’s be honest though, even if it was proven that everyone in the world had antibodies they would still keep up the craziness. We went from

“2 weeks to flatten the curve and prevent overwhelming hospitals”

to

“get the vaccine and still stay at home if possible and wear two masks if you do have to go out”.

"back to normal" is kind of a meme thing. In spite of the monetary inflation we're seeing and general stupidness rn covid 19 was the catalyst of me making great strides in personal development. The China virus was a god send if you could find ways to capitalize on it.

The problem is these morons want already infected people to also vax up. You can't tell me it's not about control at this point.

Already back to normal in my home province and vaccination rates for people 12+ are over 75% for the first shot. I personally know one individual who isn’t vaccinated.

I’d volunteer to be infected once a year for the rest of my life if it meant everybody shut up about it and went back to work, I’ve had hangovers worse than Covid.

We have all already been exposed to it. It's pretty much impossible not to be unless you were hiding in a remote location with no human contact. Flu viruses are very good at spreading like that.

Despite hearing about some really wild symptoms for a few people, I'm pretty convinced my own symptoms would be mild. I'm in peak physical shape so it wouldn't make any sense for it to hit me really hard.

Blah. I tried the expensive test and it came back inconclusive.

I know my reputation ATT was panicel [for lack of a better term], but I wasn't bunkered down and hiding. Since the start of the pandemic I've flown to MI and driven back to TX 3X; the first was very early when almost no one was flying and there were rumors of borders being shut between states.

The first time I was sick it was neck pain, chills, shivering, nausea/diarrhea, but no cough or fever which is all they were asking about. But I read of some accounts of other people that did have it and had those types of symptoms. I was sick a second time and it wasn't that dramatic, but after I didn't feel right for several months; fatigue, brain fog, shortness of breath, poor appetite...finally was feeling better at the end of August last year.

I really want to get back to feeling good again. Need my iron and vit levels up where they should be and to re-train.

Isn’t it already back to normal?
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."
