The Many Saints of Newark (Sopranos film)
I just found out about this:
Crazy how James Gandolfini's son looks almost identical to him in the face. I barely look like either my parents..
Anyways, might be interesting. It looks like they are keeping everyone's race the same as the source material, so maybe it will be good.

IMO you mentioned Cobra Kai, and I feel like that could have been a 2-3 hour movie about Johnny's redemption arc rather than a 4-season series (so far) that's resorted to full-on Dawson's Creek *******ry to fill up space. Hell maybe Johnny could have had his own trilogy of sorts like Daniel did.
Don't get me wrong series can be great, but with a series you have more opportunities for the studio to want to inflate the story and drag the series out, make more money, than you would with a film.
