What’s next? That’s stupid hover board thing riding? How about rollerblading? Do they have that? Or Did you see taekwondo? Absolutely Pathetic! Unbelievably unrealistic, has nothing to do with fighting, two women trying to touch their toes to the opponents face, so unbelievably stupid, just shoving their lead leg into each others face, occasionally throwing weak Body shots.

they already have curling at the winter Olympics, what other retarded sport are they going to do next?

Did you see judo? Everybody is 4 feet tall and they win when opponents shoulders touch the mat, has almost nothing to do with real fighting or grappling.

While I don't play ping pong I'm sure it takes 10x the reaction time and hand eye coordination that skateboarding does at the highest levels.

Especially considering the skateboarders only land like 1 trick out of 5 attempts.

While I think actual skateboarding is legit, the stuff you see in the X Games, like big air, vert, skateboard park, etc. I was watching yesterday afternoon and the event was performing a single trick on a small railing and calling it a day. I bertstared the TV. Like, that was it. That was the whole competition. Chit you see kids doing at every single middle school/high school on the planet on any given summer day.

I enjoy the amateur competition and the "bringing together all the nations on a world stage" aspect; nothing else compares unless you like watching a single sport (world cup).

It's not really about the quality of the competition, although it's the best in the world competing in the various sports, and armchair sports critics gonna armchair critique sports they know fuk all about

Honestly shocked we're still able to represent our own nations at these events. I figured by now we'd just all be homogenous Global Citizens of Earth, no need for borders.

So if they added skateboarding (which was dumb as hell from what little I saw of it) when will they add half pipes and street bmx freestyle events. I messed around on bikes when I was young trying to do tricks and a couple friends who still do. That stuff was fun and fun to watch when guys got good at it.
