I got a question about Mexico

I’m watching narcos Mexico on Netflix right now. The main guy is from Sinaloa. When his enemies talk about him they always mention he’s a dirt bag from Sinaloa.

Does Sinaloa have a bad reputation in Mexico? Why does it seem like everyone else from other areas look down on the Sinaloans?
