Australians are the real MVPs of the Olympics

Population

Japan: 126 million
USA: 328 million
China: 1.4 billion
Russia: 144 million
Australia:25 million

Yet we are holding our own in the medal tally and beating countries with ten fold the population. Imagine having a population of 300 million+ to choose from and not absolutely destroying an island descended from convicts lmao. Australia showing they are a small nation filled with elite Chads and Staceys.

All swimming medals? That’s my issue with Michael Phelps being called the GOAT. There are 10 different swimming styles and then get to compete in each one for the 10m 20m 25m 50m 50.5m 73m 75m and 100m. That’s like 80 potential medals for one athlete for the same skill (moving your arms in a slightly different motion).

I thought this was gonna be about hnngg athletes.

It is pretty humbling when countries that don't spend countless amounts of money on sports win.

Unfortunately, I don't think we have any medal chances for distance runningthis weekend.

Its the olympics bro. We are Australian.

We do extremely well at the start when they do all the swimming events then fade hard when they wrap up the swimming

Also we suck at soccer, got beat by Egypt. Half the world only cares about 1 sport.
