do you greet your co workers?

i never say good morning or bye to them. they are nothing to me. i always acknowledge the boss tho.

Worked a few years in France where it's culturally forced to greet the whole office when you come to work, ie walk through the whole office to shake hands with everybody and double-cheek kiss all the ladies

As a tradie, especially as a sparky, you gotta appease your co-workers and make small talk or greet them.

But at the production plant I work at, I had my duties down to a lock, and would only greet filipinos (srs).

Lol prefab production plant ? Isn’t that what they have the female tradies do because they can’t handle most of the work so they just prefab led lights ?

Also I thought you where a carpenter ? Not a sparky ?

the plant is the main one for the structure and logistics, we built dormitories and trailers and housing for veterans.

the females would do final finish or dry wall, stuff like that.

i'm in the carpenter union but went to school for electrical and did a lot of that before covid/lay offs.

stuff like prepping fans, junction boxes, octagon boxes, ordering inventory, prepping circuit panels.

this was all projects for LNG Canada and BC Hydro, ended up in roofs, had a blast.

pretty sure it's only trailers being built now, idk what projects they undertook, but they wanted me back from lay offs/covid, and I said I needed to see my psychiatrist first.


Yea, this one Asian guy who worked there since 2004 helped me a lot, could barely comm in english, kinda pissed other new sparky hires off but he was like this is the place to work.
