Havnt touched deadlift in 1.5 years, lol at powerliftercels

So I decided to have a little fun on Saturday and just see how my deadlift strength was as I havn't deadlifted since pre covid.

hit 6 plates for 7 reps then hit 7 plates for 1 3/4 reps, 7 just went up so easy said fux it and went for a double.

Crazy how all that smith machine work and cable work and practically 0 barbell work and 0 deadlifting has increased my max at this level while focusing 100% on bodybuilding. Didnt even have to get fat or eat gummy worms between sets.

if all you want is aesthetics, there is no point on doing heavy deadlifts.

Theres a lot of powerlifter vs bodybuilder rivalry at gyms I go to. Its funny though because for the most part right now the bodybuilders are stronger than the powerlifters and the powerlifters are all pretty out of shape.

At one point we had 3 top elite pro powerlifters with world records, now its just a bunch of idiots in their wake

a plate is a 20kg (or 45 lbs ) plate, not a 10 kg plate, mate.
