Fukin think about it. There has been more acknowledgement of UFO's by governments in the past couple of years then there has been in the past 50. Then a plague strikes the world that is deadly enough to warrant mass panic and create enough fear to get the populace to do anything but at the same time it isn't deadly enough to kill us all.

This plague is used as the reason to get us all injected with a vaccine that will keep us protected from whatever viruses or diseases the aliens will have with them (See Europeans visiting The New World..). The aliens have notified all governments of their impending arrival and occupation of our world. If the governments simply said, "Inject yourselves with this vaccine, it'll protect you from the aliens that will be enslaving us" there will be mass panic, murder, looting, suicide, etc. The acknowledgement of UFO's and eventually alien life will soften the blow for when the aliens visit us in a few years.

War of the Worlds proposed the opposite being true - Aliens don't have human-like immune systems and would die from bad germs/viruses, so a scamdemic that forces people to do dumb chit like wear masks after getting a vaccine starts to make sense. It's all about protecting dem uFOs from the coof.
