actual "space" is nothingness (?) obviously contains everything we know inside of it
not 100% sure whats in it but have some amazing theories, discoveries

We are literally smaller than quarks when it comes to the vastness of space. If you ever want perspective on the relative size of things, there are videos out there where our sun is one pixel on a screen and the rest of it is filled by a star about a trillion times bigger. And that's not even counting the fact that the Hubble deep space shot shows thousands of galaxies, all of which have millions of those stars.
It's staggering how big things really are out there.

space and time are two facets of the same "fabric" that makes up the universe and through which light moves at a constant speed (but can differ depending on perspective according to general relativity).
gravity in space only exists in localized super dense pockets of matter in the form of planets/stars and black holes, and this is more to do with such objects bending the fabric of space/time around it (since space is a vacuum, warping it with super massive objects folds it inward creating the force on the dense object called gravity)

350 days out from the island and the Miscercraft is approaching the deep space phenomenon know as the 'Great Red Pill'.
Myself and my number one, Legacyx have been passing the time writing novels in our sig lines.
Ships linguistics expert, SleepWithFan89 has been asked to judge our efforts, but is expected to disqualify Legacyx due to a very poor pun about pizza.
To keep the crew entertained on our voyage, our ships resident homosexual thespian 1st class, ninetynine8 has been performing plays written by the flat earth society in the early 21st century - much to the delight of the lesser educated members of my crew.
On a more serious note, Ensign BlackJack619 remains in med bay after experimenting with DMT while surfing on the holodeck.
Junior nurse MiscMathematician assures me he will make a full recovery after a few days of rigid vitamin D suppositories.
I am unsure where are journy will lead us, or if we will be sucessful, but one thing is assured - We're all gonna make it.

The Milky Way galaxy contains 100-400 billion stars and light takes around 130,000 years to traverse the entire distance. Assuming we can build ships/drones that can travel at .25% the speed of light and each colony has a 1/4 chance of embarking on a successful voyage every 500 years we could occupy the entire Milky Way in under 50 million years. Which compared to how long the Milky Way has been around is no time at all.
Considering that information it seems almost statistically impossible that the Milky Way hasn’t been colonized by now but it appears that way.
