Judd Nelson Was 25 In The Breakfast Club

The ages of the cast at the time of filming were Judd Nelson (25 years old), Molly Ringwald (16 years old her 17th birthday was only three days after the film's release), Emilio Estevez (23 years old), Anthony Michael Hall (16 years old) and Ally Sheedy (23 years old).

I was watching parts of the movie recently, I’ve seen the film many times but it was very clear to me at least that he looked older than the rest of the cast so I looked up their ages at the time. However I didn’t realize he was 25 years old, that is older than I am currently although I’ll be turning 25 soon. He was talking in an on set interview during the making of the film how they were all so young, but 25 doesn’t seem that young really, I guess he’s talking about the characters though. What would you say is the cut off for being considered a young person?

Your brain doesn't stop maturing until about 25.

Middle age starts around 35.

You body doesn't start breaking down until around 50. In the early years, this just means minor stuff like joint pain, etc.

I'd say, as a man you're "young" if you're 25 and under. You're in your physical prime between 25 and 35. You're in your mental/career/emotional prime from 35 until about 50. After 50 you start coasting towards retirement. I don't think you start really feeling old until you're 60 and serious problems start appearing and you realize the best years of your life have passed by.

I would’ve banged Molly Ringwold back then. I would’ve stuck it in her and never pulled out.

Yes.

35 is def still young. Once you get a little older (in your 30’s- 40’s) you’ll notice just how young 35 really is.

What age does a man look his best generally? Usually it seems that contrary to popular opinion men do tend to look better in their early to mid 20s, of course there are exceptions, certain people peak at different times. But if someone looks good in their 30s, 40s, or 50s the chances are they looked better in their 20s. A good example of that is Jeffrey Dean Morgan, he looks great for being in his mid 50s and many girls were swooning over him when he was in his late 30s-40s as well. However if you look up some of his earlier work, he clearly looks better in his early to mid 20s, so even someone like him still peaked in his 20s.

I feel like it depends how someone ages to be honest, if you have lost your hair or have a severe receding hairline, are graying, get crows feet and/or deep nasolabial folds, etc You just don’t appear young and to be honest many people in that age range have these issues. Woody Harrelson was 33 in Natural Born Killers, I wouldn’t really consider him young in that film.

I've had this exact same thought wtf. The goal is to look like you're in your 20s when you're in your 30s so that you're still considered young in your early 40s

That's actually still young for many women, as well!! But many of these guys have that groupthink here, falsely believing females are in their prime as teens and up until mid-twenties, it seems. I'm not sure they've taken a really good look around where they live or maybe they don't go to the right places. They mostly seem to judge these types of things by photoshop social media pics, filtered TikTok, etc..
Fact: My first-generation uncle was a boxer who fought Sugar Ray Robinson! He also fought in the war, sacrificing the career he deeply loved, so people could have the right to freedom.

I think women generally look better in their late 20s-late 30s physically, and mentally they have time to mature unlike girls my age or younger often times. It’s not like younger women have this purity benefit that women in their 30s don’t have either, because most girls in their 20s have slept around just as much it not more than older women. Many older women have had several long relationships, while many of these young chicks are hooping dink to dink.

Yeah, so you can see the difference in the way they hold themselves... The women in their mid-twenties and beyond have fully developed their sensuality through more intimate relationships and emotional maturity, and that comes across in the way they speak and carry themselves in the real world. Their bodies aren't even "fully developed" until early twenties when the metabolism and genetics hit "full-force."

YOU get it/see it in the real world. Try explaining that to some of these "alpha" guys though. They seem stuck on juvenile fantasies of when they were 13...

Yes absolutely, also women in their late 20s-late 30s have had time to find their style. They generally dress better, have a wider selection of fragrances they like to wear, etc.

That's true too! But when it comes to fashion, I'd venture to say that comes down more to expression of personality, money/income, location and actual interest in 'making fashion statements.' Many women aren't interested in the latest trends or even traditional/classic clothing. I'm also gonna say the pandemic played a huge role for many... looking like a million bucks, literally, seemed/seems superficial at a time like this. I guess it depends on the person and their goals during this time.

Well yeah, income has a lot to do with it, the younger girls can’t afford to dress as nicely. But I still think that the time women in their late 20s-30s to find their style and what works for them has a lot to do with why they dress better. Most girls my age range wear short shorts and tank tops, or they go for a more rocker look with a band shirt, black skinny jeans, and converse, or some other outfit that is inexpensive and basic.

Maybe I'm a teen at heart, because I don't see anything wrong with wearing tight sleeveless tanks, daisy dukes (no cheeks showing though) and sexy sandals during the summer... especially in NY!! It's hot and humid AF in NY. But they have to have the body to pull off those outfits, otherwise they won't look sexy and classy at the same time.

There is nothing wrong with it, in fact it can look nice but not when it’s literally 90% of your outfits. Many of these young girls lack the versatility, but I’m sure much of that has to do with money.

Also yes it’s very humid in NY, I don’t think short shorts and tank top ever looks classy. But women don’t always need to be trying to look super classy, but I do think they should have the ability to do both and pull both off well.

You're Sicilian, I bet. What's it like living in the Bronx nowadays? It can't be easy.

You're Sicilian, I bet. What's it like living in the Bronx nowadays? It can't be easy.
I’m half Sicilian and half Irish, Scottish, English, German, and French. Yeah I asked because you looked Puerto Rican to me in one of your pictures, probably just the make up and style. I live in Buffalo, I like it here a lot, I couldn’t live in the Bronx. That place is as bad or worse than some third world countries.

Yeah, I was gonna say "Be careful, bro," because things aren't too good in da Bronx right now. Or maybe just some parts. But I'm sure they will somehow refund the units they need eventually. They're gonna have to. Things are just chaotic right now with all the political division/debating still going on. I bet the mountains up in Buffalo are on your to-do list for hiking pretty soon. If I lived by the mountains I'd be doing that type of chit almost every day. Wish I could go mountain biking right now.

That pic came out "bad" through the whole uploading process. The original photo is colorful and much clearer. But I just left it. It's not makeup that makes/made me look Puerto Rican. It's my features, overall.

I gotta go very soon. I'm running late. Nice chatting with ya. You seem like a gentlemen, unlike some of these fukheads.

Edit to stay on topic: The "Breakfast Club" was about people chatting and being real with each other. They acted mature during certain parts of the movie. There were bits of maturity ITT. I see the correlation.
Fact: My first-generation uncle was a boxer who fought Sugar Ray Robinson! He also fought in the war, sacrificing the career he deeply loved, so people could have the right to freedom.
