My company mandated the jab now
Another vaccine thrad! huraaaayyyy!!!! :P
I work in Broadcasting, and the parent company decided to mandate the vaccination for all employees. We are all supposed to have it by Oct 1.
Thing is, I'm surrounded by blue pill lefty sheeple, so I have been saying I got the Mederma shots back in May so they would leave me alone.
Now my manager said I would eventually have to submit proof, so I said I have no clue what I did with the card they gave me, so he said I could get another copy, or a .pdf from the drug store where I said I got the shots. He thinks I need to submit it to HR, but isn't sure.
The e-mail upper management sent said we definitely need to get it, but it never said how they would enforce it, or what would happen if you don't get it, or submit proof of getting one. I may wait to see what happens.
I asked my Doctor about it, too, because I have a mild case of Tourette syndrome anyway, and I always wondered if the Mercury filled vaccines I got in the 70's had anything to do with it, so I am worried a vaccine may make it worse, or cause other neurological issues, even though I know the odds of that are very small.
He said the Pfizer vaccine was safe, so I may consider it.
Meanwhile, I am looking for another job, but this is a sweet gig. It pays better than anything I've ever had, with the least amount of responsibility.
In the end, I would rather look back in a few years and be glad I never risked getting it, but I have read both sides of the argument and am still considering it.
