any editing dudes on this forum?

I recorded an interaction I had this morning with an officer and I'm trying to edit the audio of the part where I give him my phone number. I'm using a pc and briefly tried using video editor. Hitting a wall here.

Any pros on this forum?

Yea right here I am.

Edit: see?

Now how may I assist you?

2nd edit: just to prove how good I am at it. All jokes aside surely you can look up “how to edit “blank” on (programs name)” on YouTube. You’ll have it figured out easily prob.

When you put a video track you also get the audio track in a separate channel and can edit it however you want

I did some digging around and watched at least one video before posting here. I just need to keep at it a bit more.

I had an app open at one point that showed the audio track separate from the video, tried to mute a section but could only mute the whole video. Got frustrated and closed everything. Now I'm trying to remember which app I had open.

I'm well aware of my rights, thank you, however you are presuming quite a lot without having seen the video.

Try selecting the start point of where you want to mute the audio and right click > split and do the same at the end point then select the spliced part and delete it
