Dark souls 3 is too hard.

I cannot beat this Dancer of the Boreal Valley boss. I get wrecked all the time.
I use the Astor Great sword if you must know.
I have no idea how to summon a NPC ghost to help me.

Well it's a series that is famous for how difficult and unforgiving it is.

Honestly I could never see the appeal of these games. The atmosphere is always dark and depressing and they are just overly hard games that make you fight all sorts of stupid chit that kills you with ease. Definitely the type of thing that appeals to those masochistic "hardcore" gamers who think punishing difficulty is the thing that makes games great.

I think the atmosphere is second to none. DS3 was my first souls game and the constant intrigue as to why the game world is the way it is, what happened there, who you're fighting... it's so cryptic yet fascinating. The difficulty of the games is just one aspect of why they're loved, the game world, unique lore delivery, the gameplay, loot. There are many good aspects to these games that people enjoy. There's also plenty of much easier action RPGs on the market so it's bizarre to complain about the difficulty... you know what you're getting into when you pick up these games, so keep practicing and eventually win or move on to something else.

Well it sounds like you are really into it. I mean these games are definitely popular for a reason, doesn't appeal to me but you explained why you like it.

I started with DS3 then went to 2, the combat/movement in 2 felt very clunky in comparison but i was able 1 shot or kill bosses with very limited attempts, their HP also seemed surprisingly low.

They do say the first souls game you play is the hardest, once you get used to the style they become easier, so if you played them chronologically that would make sense.

DS3 is the hardest by a large margin fam.

DS2 difficulty is a straight up joke. 42 bosses in the game and most of them are fodder you beat first or second try. 95% of them are completely unmemorable.

DS1 is harder than 2, but it's still pretty easy compared to 3. It's aged mechanically and it also has the slowest combat in the series.

3 was definitely the most consistently hard. It's waaaaay faster (dat Bloodborne influence), and it has few throwaway bosses. Most of the bosses also have multiple phases that give them completely new movesets. I played them all in order after playing Bloodborne too (which got me into the series). Most of the bosses in both 1 and 2 went down first try. Even Ornstein and Smough, who are famously the most difficult boss in the first game (or at least one of), went down in three tries.

That's what makes the game so great. It's unique in that it's hard and forces you to get good. The feeling you get when finally defeating a boss - there's nothing like it in gaming. I wouldn't recommend this game who just want to chill and relax, some people just aren't good enough and that's ok.

Every time I would finally break through a brutal portion you are just immediately met with another. Not my idea of fun.

Shame because everything else about the game is awesome.

You arent good enough either if it takes you so long to beat a boss that it gives you the best feeling in gaming lol. Anyone can stick it out and eventually beat it. It's just a question of those who are willing to and those who arent.

Well it's simply a situation where the setting and just about everything about the game doesn't appeal to me. Funny how you need to turn it into some type of elitist statement about difficulty, typical hardcore nerd bullchit where people like you act like everybody should play games so they can flex how elite they are at gaming.

Honestly had more fun capping the dude in the head in COD: MW(2019) than beating any boss in DS3. He was talking **** about my wife as I left the interrogating room so I turned around and put one in his Skull while his wife and kid sat next to him. Felt more fulfilling than memorizing a boss' attack motions so I know when to dodge his 3 attacks.

So you got to an end game boss and you’re complaining about the game being hard?


Not sure if srs. Better pepper your angus because Sister Friede and Nameless king are going in dry.


Also the game isn’t that hard, I beat it without upgrading my estus flaks because I didn’t even know you could lol. I did die alot, like over 100 times, on my second playthrough I beat every boss first try.

Sister Friede isn't too bad. Nameless king reked my angus though. I had to get help on him. Same with the dragon in the ringed city.

I actually just finished this game last week. Sekiro is way way harder.

I beat O&S on try 2 and I was drunk lol.

1 has challenging combat but for different reasons. 3 is where it's at - it's the funnest to play while also the hardest.

Meh, those games are like annoying hard and not truly hard.

Like yeah they are hard, but in the end it's ai and it's really more of a matter of patience. The bosses are easily If you are patient enough to learn their patterns and when you need to dodge and attack. It just gets obnoxious sometimes.

I find that just playing actual multiplayer games is harder and more rewarding then learning the bosses patterns of attack and movement.

Finally beat the Dancer lmao. Then I got wrecked on the next chapter by the knights.
The atmosphere is really something else and somewhat related to our daily life ( SRS).
You die over and over, restart and do the same **** over and over. You turn hollow as you become mentally unstable of doing the same **** over and over...hey that's life right.

Never played 3 but Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne were never really hard. You just need a little patience instead of just retard rushing everything like what most other games let you get away with.

You don't have to die to get a weapon. You can go to the Hunter's Dream via the lantern up the ladder and then pick your weapon

With I knew that back then lol, I literally jumped into it knowing nothing about it and just played it that way for the longest time.

Now that I think about it that could be an ultimate challenge.

should've said friede and gael... nameless king is a piece of cake compared to those two imo. two of the hardest "fun" bosses i've ever fought, sekiro's final boss is third on the list

never beat ringed city dragon or sekiro lava monster though, those are hard AND unfun
