Does anyone even do standing OHP?
I swear I almost never see anyone at the gym doing standing OHP (honestly, even seated ohp is rare).
Do miscers do them? Or are you all non-lifting phaggots?

I never got anything out of OHP, but seated high incline DB presses and presses behind the neck have had a profound effect on my shoulders.

I do seated because it's harder, which is my excuse for lifting less weight

used to but not anymore. Don't really see the point unless your goal is purely to get better at standing OHP

Yes, I like progressing on them though I wouldn’t say they’re like bench or squat in being a best bang for buck compound lift for any gains other than ohp ability. If you can bench a lot you can probably ohp a lot once you get used to the movement, reverse isn’t really true.
Lifts:
Squat: 460x1
Bench: 400x1
Deadlift: 575x1
OHP: 250x2
Weight: 180 lbs.
Don't have heroes; look up to no one. Because as long as someone's leading the way, the best you'll ever be is second.

I do some sort of overhead pressing nearly every week. Usually it's seated barbell military, but sometimes we'll do standing. The last two weeks it's been standing.

Hell yeah. Clean and press is a great exercise as long as you work within your limits. Great for training to generate more power.

I used to do them but I feel like seated you get a better shoulder workout (obviously). Plus after lockdowns ended my max went from >BW to less than 155 lol
Unless you want to specifically train OHP then seated is better. Or if you are now a pussy like me.
Edit: actually at the gym now I’ll try them again.
