Hold me misc srs. One of best friends died

One of my closest friends since HS ( was the singer in my very first garage band passed away from cancer 2 days ago. It was a tumor in his brain. They removed it a cpl of years ago but it came back and he lost his battle.

Even though we didn’t speak as much as we used to this guy was a good hearted, give the short of his back type of guy. Things like this really put the positives in your own life into perspective. He was only 40 and left behind kids. Fuk cancer.

We should all try to enjoy life while we have it and work hard to make the best of it even when things aren’t great, it’s much better than a lot of others struggles. I hate cancer man, all of us have either had or will have it at some point it seems due to many things. Srry for long post but just wanted to speak about him. What’s strange is two days before he died I had a sudden urge to call him and check up and see how he was doing (I didn’t know the cancer came back). I regret deeply not making that call and hearing him one last time.
This body holding me, be my reminder here that I am not alone.

While the politicians insist of making everything red versus blue and to hate your neighbor, remember this is all for their own gain.

Care for your fellow human even if you don’t see eye to eye on topics. We would all be better humans if we all remembered the universal truth that life is short and nobody gets to skip the line. Sometimes you get unlucky and the ride shuts down early.

Best thing you can do OP is exactly what you said - make sure you have no regrets in your own life. Fix broken relationships that you want to fix. Run your life the way you want not what others expect, work hard and try to have your kids life be better than yours

Big love leaves a big hole. People pass all the time and it doesn't hurt because we didn't care about them. The pain is a reminder of something and someone special, that's to be celebrated brother.

PM me if you need to talk, I'm sorry for your loss.

Thanks for replies itt fellas. Just a somber feeling since I heard and didn’t make that call. Not my first time dealing with death of people close to me unfortunately. I mainly a mmmmmm just sad for his kids and family. All the political and world issues going on that people are wrapped up in will immediately dissipate when tragedy happens close to home. We all gonna make it bros. Even my bro who’s now gone made it, he made a positive impact on anyone’s life he touched and was a part of. Just a sad situation that his ride was so short and now his kids will be without their father.

that's exactly what i think - enjoy life while it lasts so that we can have the most favourable death.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I hope that he didn't suffer a long decline.

If you can maybe keep an eye on his family. Better if there are a few guys that knew him and are willing to chip in. Doesn't have to be financial, just paying attention and having their back.

Will his family will need help with repairs? sorting/cleaning/selling? bureaucratic paperwork? moving? a flooded basement? a big snowfall? an injury or illness?

Things happen to families and it can be a lot harder for one adult to manage on their own.

It can help to just reach out sometime and let them know that you are thinking of them, or that you remember the person they lost and you miss him too.
