Buying Investment Property Across The Road From A Cemetery...Would You?

Pondering this. The property I am looking at is across the road from one. Would you for investment purposes? Do you think it may affect future capital growth and rental desirability?

I think there would definitely be a few people that decide not to rent there due to it being across a cemetery.

Run some comps to see what the pricing is over there.

If the property is in a high demand area people will deal with it.

I am a renter and personally would not live anywhere within 2 miles (direct line) of a large cemetery and 1.25 miles of a smallish cemetery. I research thoroughly to make sure of that. I’m scared of ghosts and the embalming fluids that get into my water.

It is in a gentrifying area of the city that has experienced strong price growth and is forecasted to experience more in the next few years. It is also a new build.

Should be good then - if it’s a hipster area some guy that drinks IPAs and goes axe throwing after a bouldering session will pick it up and think it’s cool.
