Should General Mark A. Milley (Joint Chiefs Of Staff) Resign?
Everyone knew that leaving Afghanistan was going to be bad, but this was downright embarrassing and an absolute failure.
This should not have happened.

This should not have happened.

I mean what did they expect? legit everyone on both sides knew this would occur. It happening a few days or weeks sooner than expected doesn't really matter....one does wonder why we left them literal rooms filled to the brim with guns and equipment, but what's done is done and since I wasn't there or part of the conflict on the ground I won't criticize our guys.

Edit:
One of Donald Trump's campaign promises was to end the war in Afghanistan. Last year, he negotiated an agreement with the Taliban to withdraw all U.S. forces by May 1 of 2021. That's less than two months away. Not represented in that agreement were members of the Afghan government. They're now negotiating with the Taliban. Meanwhile, President Biden, having inherited the Trump deal, faces some tough choices.
FILKINS: The deal itself is simple, but it kind of sets off this cascade of other things which are not so simple. But the deal basically says the Taliban won't kill any Americans, and we won't attack the Taliban. And if all goes well and the Taliban agree not to support any kind of terrorism against the United States or not to allow terrorists in the country or any kind of bases, the United States will leave and go to zero and take out all of its forces by May 1.
And so at the present moment today, the U.S. has about 2,500 troops there, and then there's about 5,000 other NATO European troops who are there but who are kind of waiting on the U.S. to make a decision. So there's about 7,500 troops in the country right now.
GROSS: So NATO's decision isn't totally contingent on whether we pull out by May 1.
FILKINS: It's not, but they're all kind of watching. I think it's pretty fair to say that if the U.S. doesn't stay, then the Europeans aren't going to stay. And so I think whatever Biden decides effectively is going to decide the future of the Western effort in that country.

Imagine kissing ass and making it that far up the ranks and then fuk up so bad that you will be in the history books forever. He would neck himself if he had any self respect. We know he doesn't / won't

He should either resign or be removed.
He's a damn disgrace. A joke. A national embarrassment. The laughing stock of the world.
Biden, Milley, and SecDef Austin must go.

Court Martial his Milley's woke ass and send him to Leavenworth.
Biden re-inserted the US in the Iran Nuclear Deal, why couldn't he bail out on Trump's deal? Pointing the finger is a really bad optic.

Did Trump decide to stop paying the Afghan military in April 2021?
Did Trump decide to leave tens of thousands of US citizens to fend for themselves?
Did Trump decide to leave billions of dollars worth of artillery and ammunition with NO plan to remove or destroy it?
Did Trump decide to leave Afghan assets to be slaughtered?
Yeah, Trump really screwed this one up. Thank God for pResident mushbrains.

Clearly there were some screw ups, but it's also all clearly political theatre. It's a simp move to get suckered into thinking otherwise. Nobody wanted to be the President to do it. That's why Bush never took them out, Obama lied about doing it, Trump totally passed the ball, and now it's happening. Be thankful it finally happened.

The whole reason House and Senate Dems want an investigation is so they can pin the blame on someone other than Biden.
Milley may be the fall guy.
