Been watching this guy a bit and it makes sense although I don't normally listen to "motivational speakers". Losers tend to drag those around them down, while winners bring up those around them. He says "Show my your friends and I'll show you your future". Kind of separated myself from some people and it's not that they are bad people, and I still consider them friends, but kind of noted some of the negativity. Started on my GF, noted that a few of these old friends of hers would drag her down and a lot of times would just drain her energy so I told her to separate herself and stick to a few others who actually were doing something with their lives. Even if they weren't anywhere great yet, it's the attitude, and it's seemed to help her. Then I started looking at some people around me. One friend used to say "why do you do all that? I make XYZ dollars with XYZ commission" when he saw that I was studying and getting certicications, spending my own money on classes, traveling for them, and investing in equipment. I'm trying to better myself and he's trying to put me down for it and mog on me for it? When I tried to encourage him to better himself he had this "I'm already the best" attitude. Meanwhile he gripes about his job and they treat him like garbage and he can't find anything else.
