Currently halfway through The Laws of Human Nature, but the last book I finished was Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.

It was OK. Definitely a good read-through. I was able to get through it quickly. However I felt like reading up on Stoicism and Marcus Aurelius was a little more beneficial than reading Meditations. Don't get me wrong, it was a good read, but it's more of a review of Stoicism at this point. Would still recommend.

Beyond Order is better than 12 rules srs, and I liked 12 rules. Atleast his writing seems more organized despite the health issues he had while writing it. He talks about those in the beginning of the book

I'm a JP fan. His backlash is from crazy people with agendas

Animal Farm, again. I'm reading Heart of Europe by Norman Davis now.

Do audiobooks count? I have a bunch started, some finished recently too. Not really a book, but the Unabomber's Manifesto was interesting, though I don't agree with his (lack of) morality lol

His analysis of the left is pretty spot on.

Sounds good. I'm a fan of JP as well. I understand if some people aren't but it seems like a lot of people were just hounding on him the same way people tend to do when a celebrity falls from grace.

Honestly I haven't been following his personal issues too closely, I mostly just follow what he puts out in interviews/books. I heard some about it, but I don't really follow it. He's just a man at the end of the day, idk why people expect him to never have problems like everyone else

I heard he dealt with illness and his wife being sick plus problems with anxiety medication he was prescribed. Not that uncommon of issues

Working onThe Emergence of Rus 750-1200(1996) by Simon Franklin and Jonathan Shepard right now. Pretty good survey of the transformation of what is now Russia from sparsely populated, loosely organized groups of pagan tribes living in the region to a consolidated Christian principality under Mongol rule in the 13th century.

Before that, I spent about half a year getting through Andrew Roberts' 2018 biography of Winston Church calledChurchill: Walking with Destiny. Had to take a couple of breaks because the thing was >1000 phuckin' pages, but it was well worth the effort.

Leviathan Wakes - Book one of the Expanse series. It was nominated for a Hugo in 2012. A TV series that I've never seen was based off the series.

I thought about stopping 3 times while reading it. The story was really mediocre. I won't be reading any other books in the series or any other science fiction for a while.

Currently reading 'The Holocaust Industry" by Norman G. Finkelstein. I know miscers are going to find it hard to believe, but according to Mr. Finkelstein, the Holocaust is mainly used to grift money.
