So, I had this thought earlier today after I mentioned it in another thread and wondered if anyone else thought of it or what they think.

All three of these West Coast states have been deemed the worst states in the US (only NYC beating them) in terms of having corrupt Governors.
So, I had a thought come across my head about how corrupt these Governors could actually get.

What is to stop either of these Governors from overreaching and executing their executive powers to stay in power even after their term ends or up for re-election.

All they would have to do is come up with some excuse to say that they don't want to pass on their position to their successor and leave them with this virus to deal.
In short, they could continue as Governor (especially if the states courts sides with them, like Oregon's did with Kate Brown).

At first I thought this seemed highly unlikely to happen however, given what we've seen Liberals/Democrats capable of on a global scale, this doesn't seem unlikely.

I'd see this as Liberal/Democrats ways of solidifying their rule over a state completely and than spreading this to other states by getting Republican Governors replaced by any means.
Universal mail-in-ballots type of means.


Anyways, thoughts on this, MISC?

That's not how oligarchy works boyo.

They happily concede the election if they lose because they know that whoever is coming into to replace them came from the same corrupt political machine that gave them their start.

Thus, they maintain the charade while knowing the policies and practices of the 'next generation of Democratic leadership' have been spoon-fed to them by the same people who decided the their own policies.
