In a condition where not living with the person is not an option. And this person pays their fair share, and does other types of chores…. Yet refuses to clean up after themselves… what do I do?

They’ve already been told nicely multiple times… that’s escalated to verbal arguments. One time this person left the house for 2 days because of the argument.

I’m talking about: leaving Utensils, Plastic wrap in pieces on counter and floor, dishwasher wide open with the draws fully extended, used up Tupperware on counter, cups half filled with drinks laying around kitchen and couch


^this is all in one night.

I find this in the early morning as I’m going to work.

By nature, I am high in orderliness/cleaning up after myself. This person is not. How does one convince someone to clean up, reasonably, after themselves?

Edit: I’m looking for recourse other than: “live somewhere else, ignore it”
