Chit this only happened once to me, the one time I got "organic." Apparently it's not rare lol.

you need to soak with salt and vinegar man

add 1 liter of water and 50 ml of vinegar with 1 tbs of salt, leave it there for 10 or 15 mins, at the same time boil some water , once youre done soaking the broccoli wash it good and drop the brocoli into the hot water for 3 mins and youre good to go

Why wash if you're going to boil?

Washing would be if you're going to eat raw or are trying to remove pesticides (which water doesn't remove)

That happens all the time if you get organic.

I remember every year at Xmas my mum would get organic broccoli for the dinner and every time it would be filled with maggots. After 3 years in a row I gave up and just started eating them anyway

Don’t think I’ve ever had them with frozen broccoli

Broccoli sucks anyways. Gassy vegetable. Would suggest sticking with spinach and green beans.

Sure, the methods mentioned above kill the bugs but you're still gonna be eating them.

I always remember telling my mom that there were bugs in my broccoli when I was a kid and she ignored me and made me eat it anyway lol
I didn't know how to wash them properly either, but since I started living on my own I have learned to soak them in a solution of vinegar and water or salt and water.
I always prepare them that way and haven't had any incidents with bugs to date.
Here is an article explaining a little better how to do this sanitation:https://frugalinsa.com/%D1%81ook-out...e-cooking.html
